Pleasant Hill police are investigating an armed robbery in a tanning salon that occurred Sunday morning. The suspect in the robbery entered Soleil Tanning Salon at 220 Golf Club Drive this morning, displayed a handgun and demanded money, according to police Corporal Jason Kleven. After taking money from the sole employee in the store, he ordered her into a back room and confronted a customer who was in the room.
He then fled in an unknown direction, Kleven said. Police were called shortly before 10:13 a.m., but could not locate the suspect. He is described as a white male adult in his 20s who is about 6 feet tall with a thin build, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, white bandana and blue jeans. No suspect vehicle was seen.
