Two people have been taken into custody in connection with a shooting that occurred this afternoon in San Francisco’s Bayview District. The 18-year-old male victim was shot twice on the corner of Third Street and Gilman Avenue around 3:45 p.m. by two suspects, according to police. The suspects were seen fleeing into a home on the 1000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue, and police immediately surrounded the house.
After gaining permission from the resident to enter the home, two men who matched the descriptions of the suspects were taken into custody, police said. Several guns were also found during a search of the home. The victim is reportedly in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. The gang task force is handling the investigation, and video surveillance footage of the incident is being reviewed, police said.
