* Chase With Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Deputies Ends In Injury Crash

A car chase with Santa Clara County Sheriff’s deputies ended this evening when the fleeing suspect slammed into a pickup truck in San Jose, sending both himself and the driver of the truck to the hospital, police said. The suspect fled from deputies in a 1993 Honda down East St. James Street, and hit a Gray Toyota pickup truck traveling on North 11th Street at about 5:40 p.m.

Both the suspect and the driver were taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to San Jose police. Police are assisting with the investigation of the traffic collision.
