* Julio Cesar Vasquez Arrested for Allegedly Shooting a Man on Cadillac Drive in San Jose

On Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 2:32 p.m., San Jose police responded to a shooting on the 3100 block of Cadillac Drive. Officers arrived and located the victim, identified as a 25-year-old San Jose resident, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was admitted for non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. The unidentified suspect fled prior to the arrival of police.

On Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 9:38 p.m., police arrested the suspect, identified as 18-year-old San Jose resident Julio Cesar Vasquez, in the area of Cadillac Drive and South Winchester Boulevard on suspicion of shooting the victim in this case.

The investigation revealed the shooting was gang-motivated. Vasquez was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail in San Jose, on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia, where he currently remains in custody without bail.
