* Oakland Police Release The Names Of Two Fatal Shooting Victims

Oakland police have released the names of two of three people who were shot and killed in separate incidents over the weekend. Shortly after 12:30 a.m. Friday, William Adams, 24, of Oakland was gunned down in front of a liquor store in the 1900 block of San Pablo Avenue, police said. Another man was wounded in the shooting, an 18-year-old Vallejo resident.

Early Saturday morning, at 5:40 a.m., police responded to another fatal shooting in the 8900 block of Birch Street. Jakary Garrett, 22, of Oakland was killed in the shooting, and a 24-year-old man was injured in the shooting as well. Police have not yet released the name of the victim in a third fatal shooting in the 900 block of 18th Street on Sunday afternoon.
