* Armed Suspect Pistol Whips and Carjacks Victim In Oakland

A victim was pistol-whipped during a carjacking in East Oakland on Sunday afternoon, an Oakland police officer said. The incident was reported at about 2:20 p.m. in the 2200 block of 82nd Avenue, Officer K. Quintela said. After pistol-whipping the victim, four armed suspects fled in the victim’s car, police said. They have not been located. The victim suffered only minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
