A man was shot in the foot during a fight in San Francisco’s Excelsior District late Saturday night, police said today. The shooting was reported at 11:36 p.m. Saturday near Mission Street and Geneva Avenue. The 19-year-old victim was part of a group that got into a fight with another group. The fight allegedly started because someone in the group was wearing a red shirt, according to police.

A suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking the victim in the foot. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening, police said. The suspects, described as men in their 20s or 30s, fled and had not been found as of this morning.
