A man was slashed in the throat while leaving a house party with a backpack full of marijuana in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood late Sunday night, police said today. The attack was reported around 11:40 p.m. near the intersection of Page and Ashbury streets.

After leaving the party, the 29-year-old victim was approached by a suspect who attacked him and demanded his marijuana. When the victim refused, the suspect slashed him in the throat, according to police. The suspect then fled and had not been found as of this morning, police said.
