* Oakland Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting Downtown

Police are at the scene of a shooting reported earlier this morning in Downtown Oakland, a police officer said. Officers responded around 5 a.m. to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Webster and 7th streets in Oakland, Officer C. Espinoza said. No information about suspects or potential injuries was immediately available. Police remained at the scene of the shooting as of 6:30 a.m.
