* Oakland Man Shot Near Lake Merritt Sunday Night

A man was injured in a shooting near Oakland’s Lake Merritt on Sunday night, a police officer said. The shooting was reported near the intersection of Grand and Euclid avenues at about 8:45 p.m., Officer J. Moore said. The man who was hit by the gunfire was taken to a hospital and said to be in stable condition, Moore said. Moore said two suspects fled the scene of the shooting in a car. No arrests have been made in the case.
