A 28-year-old woman was arrested after police determined she was driving under the influence of marijuana and alcohol while toting her two young children in her car late Saturday night on southbound state Highway 29 in Napa, police said. The woman, identified as Amanda Gilman, of Kelseyville in Lake County, was driving southbound on the highway when she was stopped at West Imola Avenue around 11:30 p.m., Napa police said.
Police said she was “extremely intoxicated,” apparently from alcohol and marijuana. Police said she failed a field sobriety test. Gilman, who had her 1- and 2-year-old children in the car, was arrested on felony child endangerment charges and on suspicion of driving without a license. She was booked at the Napa County jail. Napa County Child Protective Services came to the highway and took custody of the children, according to police.
