* Suspects Allegedly Use Taser to Commit Robberies in San Jose

The San Jose Police Department is investigating two Taser robberies in the area of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Lawrence Expressway. On May 17th, 2012, about 6:30 pm, Suspect #1 was armed with and activated a taser to gain compliance of the victim, and Suspect #2 was armed with a knife. The victim was forced to walk to an ATM machine at the Safeway at 5021 Stevens Creek Blvd. and withdraw money for the suspects.

On May 21st, 2012, about 7:46 PM a similar robbery took place in the same area by similar suspects armed with a Taser. No items were taken during this robbery. Suspect #1  was armed with a taser, possible Hispanic or light skin black male, mid to late teens, 5-6, 130, brown short corn row style hair. Suspect #2  was armed with a 6″ Swiss army style knife, possible white male adult, late teens, 5-11, 150 pounds, brown hair, full beard. Suspect #2 had “gauge” size ear piercings. Suspect #3 was a male black juvenile, 15-16 years old, 5-8, 150 pounds and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black Nike athletic shoes.
