Police arrested a juvenile after he robbed a San Jose convenience store Thursday night, according to San Jose police. The suspect walked into the store at 412 E. Empire St. just before 10 p.m. Thursday and pointed a gun at a clerk, police said. The juvenile led the clerk to a cash register, grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store on foot, heading south on North 9th Street.
Police said an officer spotted a juvenile male a short time later matching the suspect description and stopped him. The officer detained the juvenile and determined that he was the suspect in the robbery after police found evidence linking him to the crime. Police said officers were also able to recover the money taken during the robbery. The suspect, whose name has not been released due to his age, was then booked into Juvenile Hall.
