Police on Sunday arrested a suspect in a shooting in the Alice Griffith public housing complex in San Francisco’s Bayview District last week. The shooting was reported at 10:13 p.m. Wednesday in the first block of Nichols Way. The 19-year-old victim was hospitalized in stable condition with injuries to his neck and abdomen, according to police.

Investigators eventually identified the suspected shooter and arrested him at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday. The suspect’s name has not been released. A fatal shooting occurred on the same block on Friday, when 22-year-old Henry Tautolo was gunned down at about 9 p.m. Tautolo was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Tautolo, who also went by the name “Hen,” was mourned on Facebook following the shooting. “You will always be missed and forever loved, but never forgotten,” one post read. “R.I.P. Henry! We all love you.”

Police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said he did not know if the two shootings were related. Anyone with information about either case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
