A man and woman were found shot dead in their San Jose home early this morning in an apparent double homicide, a police sergeant said. At about 4:20 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired at a home in the 300 block of North Seventh Street near downtown, Sgt. Jason Dwyer said. Arriving officers searched the home and found the two victims, he said. The case is being investigated as a double murder.
Police do not have a suspect description and are combing the area for the shooter, who should be considered armed and dangerous, Dwyer said. Investigators have cordoned off streets in the neighborhood, but expect to reopen them later this morning, Dwyer said.
