A 21-year-old Gilroy man died after being shot Sunday night, a police sergeant said. Gilroy police responded to St. Louise Regional Hospital at 8:31 p.m. after receiving word that a man suffering from a gunshot wound had arrived there, Sgt. Chad Gallacinao said. Gallacinao said the victim had been brought to the hospital by an individual in a private car.

The man died of his wounds at the hospital. Further investigation led police to obtain a search warrant for an apartment in the Sobrato Apartments complex in the 9300 block of Monterey Road, Gallacinao said. No suspects have been identified in the case, Gallacinao said.
