A Bakersfield man was arrested at a campsite in Monterey County early this morning after allegedly scratching his girlfriend, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s deputies responded around 12:10 a.m. to a campsite at Lake San Antonio in Lockwood on a report of a physical domestic dispute, sheriff’s officials said.
Arriving deputies encountered the suspect, 29-year-old Jonathan Reed Blaisdell, who denied that any domestic assault had occurred. Deputies then met with Blaisdell’s girlfriend, who had multiple scratches on her right arm and on both legs, according to the sheriff’s office. After determining that Blaisdell had been the aggressor in the fight, deputies arrested the Bakersfield man and took him to county jail.
