Police have arrested two people in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found in an RV in Oakland on Friday night. Police spokeswoman Johnna Watson today identified the suspects as Victoria Martinez, 22, of Alameda, and Hua Ty, 39, of Oakland. The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was found inside an RV in the 2400 block of 24th Avenue after a caller reported a possible murder shortly before 11 p.m. Friday. Both suspects were arrested the next day.

Martinez has been charged with murder, while Ty has been charged with being an accessory to murder, Alameda County district attorney’s spokeswoman Teresa Drenick said. They were scheduled to appear in court this morning, and will return to court to enter pleas on the afternoon of July 16.

In another homicide in Oakland on Friday, Davis Bennett, 70, was arrested in connection with the murder of a 67-year-old man in the 1000 block of 102nd Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. Bennett has been charged with murder and is also scheduled to enter a plea on July 16, Drenick said.
