* David Smythe Arrested for Alleged Stabbing Murder of Harry Clark in San Jose

The below press release remains unchanged except for the suspect’s identity which has been provided above.  The suspect was arrested on Sunday, July1st and booked on a Ramey Warrant for homicide.  He remains in custody.

San Jose Police Press Release
The San Jose Police Department is currently investigating the City’s 20th homicide of 2012.  On 6/29/2012, at approximately 11:25 P.M., the San Jose Police Department’s 9-1-1 call center received a report of a person down in the 1300 block of Winchester Blvd. in San Jose.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim lying in a parking lot.  Officers examined the victim and found that he had at least one stab wound.  Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim dead at the scene at approximately 11:36 P.M.

The San Jose Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is currently investigating the incident.  Though the motive of the homicide remains under investigation, the incident does not appear to be gang related.
