* Suspicious Package Reported in Portola San Francisco

San Francisco police are investigating a report of a suspicious package in the city’s Portola neighborhood this evening, a police spokesman said.The suspicious package was reported at about 7 p.m. on Colby Street, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Andraychak said. Colby Street is a residential street just east of Louis Sutter Playground on the east side of John McLaren Park.

The Police Department’s bomb squad was at the scene and evaluating the package as of shortly after 8:30 p.m., Andraychak said. No other information about the incident was immediately available, he said.
