Campbell Police said they have arrested the suspect sought in connection with a Saturday stabbing, miles away in Long Beach on Thursday. After saying they had obtained an arrest warrant for Gustavo Dasilva’s arrest Wednesday, and asking for the public’s help in locating him, detectives found and arrested the 27-year-old suspect at a Long Beach house Thursday.
Dasilva was subsequently booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on attempted murder charges, police said. Dasilva was arrested on suspicion of stabbing a man around 9:15 p.m. Saturday at 399 N. Central Ave., police said. Upon arriving at the scene, police found the 27-year-old victim suffering from non-life threatening stab wounds to his torso. The suspect had already fled, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital and expected to survive, police said.
