A man and woman are recovering today after being injured in a North Richmond drive-by shooting Wednesday morning, a Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said. Police responded to a report of the shooting near the intersection of West Ruby and First streets in unincorporated North Richmond around 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Arriving officers at the scene found two victims, a 49-year-old man and a woman, 45, suffering from gunshot wounds that are not considered life-threatening, Lee said. Both were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Lee said there is no suspect description available.
