A 24-year-old man was charged with murder on Friday in connection to the shooting death of a 24-year-old man in Antioch last October, Antioch police said. Damian Bradley, a resident of Antioch and San Francisco, was arrested May 18 in Antioch on suspicion of murdering Dimontai Glaspie on Oct. 8 at 2327 Dogwood Way, police said. He was also arrested for a suspected parole violation.The district attorney’s offices filed murder charges against Bradley on Friday, police said. He is being held at the Martinez Detention Facility.
DNA evidence and witnesses linked Bradley to the shooting, which was reported at 6:33 p.m. that October evening. Officers found Glaspie shot at the home and he was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Two suspects were spotted fleeing the scene and had been described as black men, one between 18 and 22 years old and the other in his early 20s.
One suspect was about 6 feet tall and weighed about 170 pounds with short hair while the other suspect was described as standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds, according to police.
