Oakland police are investigating an officer-involved shooting tonight, a police spokeswoman said. Police responded to the shooting in the 10500 block of E Street at around 7:39 p.m., police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said. Police shot a man in his 20s and he was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Watson said.

Another person was detained by police, according to Watson. Details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately available, Watson said. Watson said 105th Avenue was closed between Royal Ann Street and San Leandro Street as officers investigate.
