A woman was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a 3-year-old at a Salvation Army in Napa Tuesday afternoon, police said. Police said Martha Ann Bertolino, 49, grabbed the child from the Salvation Army at 590 Franklin St. at around noon and started heading toward the front door.

The child’s mother and witnesses tried to take the child back and Bertolino allegedly hit them, police said. Police said Bertolino, a transient, was eventually restrained and arrested. The child was not harmed and police said the victim’s family did not know Bertolino.
