* Man Robbed While Sitting on His Front Steps of Home in San Francisco Hayes Valley

A man was robbed while sitting on the front steps of his home in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood late Tuesday night, police said. The robbery was reported at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Page Street. The 24-year-old victim was sitting in front of the home when a suspect approached and asked for a cigarette, then produced a handgun and stole the victim’s cellphone, according to police. The victim was not injured in the robbery and the suspect, described as a man around 30 years old, had not been found as of this morning, police said.
