At least two shootings and one assault with a deadly weapon incident occurred in San Jose on Sunday, according to police. At about 12:07 a.m., officers responded to reports of a knife-related incident at the 2900 block of Daylight Way, police said. Upon arriving at the scene however, police encountered about 200 people leaving a party. The revelers then became aggressive and began throwing glass bottles at officers, police said, shattering the back window of one patrol car.

While officers waited for backup, one man approached police and reported being stabbed, police said. The man was taken to the hospital with stab wounds that were not considered life-threatening, police said. According to police, the suspects in the incident remain at large.

At 1:40 p.m. Sunday a shooting occurred at an occupied building in the 3000 residential block of Golf Drive, police said.  Witnesses to the incident reported hearing three or four shots, and officers found three bullet holes in a car and nearby fence, police said, noting that the victims in the crime were not cooperative.

Later that night, around 9:35 p.m., a man was shot in the leg while standing outside of S&S Market at 1148 Capitol Ave. following a verbal argument, police said. The man was transported to Regional Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, police said. The incident is still under investigation and the suspect remains at large, police said.
