A reckless-driving traffic stop in Napa on Saturday night resulted in the recovery of a stolen iPhone, police said. The iPhone was reported stolen from the 200 block of Soscol Avenue. A short time later, at 9:09 p.m., an officer investigating the report noticed a vehicle being driven recklessly in the parking lot of the South Napa Market Place. The officer pulled over the vehicle and searched it.

The iPhone was found inside, and one of the vehicle’s five occupants,18-year-old Brandon Alvarez of Napa, admitted to taking the phone, police said. Alvarez was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and booked into Napa County Jail. The car’s other four occupants were released.
