Two Sonoma residents were arrested Thursday in connection with two burglaries in Kenwood and Windsor, a county sheriff’s sergeant said. Larry Hunter, 48, and Monica Miller, 30, are suspected of stealing a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck during a burglary at Rebuilt LLC, formerly known as Standard Structures in Windsor, on May 11, Sgt. Mike Raasch said.
Construction tools also were stolen from the Windsor business on May 3, Raasch said. Sonoma County Auto Theft Task Force detectives were conducting a probation search around 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3300 block of Petaluma Hill Road in Santa Rosa when they spotted the stolen red pickup pull onto the property, Raasch said. The driver, Hunter, fled with his girlfriend Miller, in the truck but was stopped a short distance away, Raasch said.
Detectives found most of the construction tools stolen from Rebuilt LLC in the truck, and a search of the Petaluma Hill Road property located more stolen construction tools and property taken during a burglary at Sugar Loaf Vineyards in Kenwood, Raasch said. Detectives also searched property associated with Hunter and Miller in the 18000 block of Comstock Avenue in Sonoma and recovered more property stolen during the two burglaries, Raasch said.
Hunter was booked into the Sonoma County jail for commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, vehicle theft, conspiracy and violation of probation, Raasch said. Miller was booked for possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen vehicle and conspiracy, Raasch said.
