Oakland police have released a sketch of a suspect believed to be responsible for a sexual assault that occurred in the city earlier this month. The attack occurred at about 1:30 p.m. May 1 in the 9000 block of Holly Street, where a woman was approached on the street, physically forced to the ground and sexually assaulted, according to police. During the assault, the victim struck the suspect in the face with her keys and told him she was going to call the police, prompting the suspect to get up and run away, police said.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s who is about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds, has a dark complexion, brown eyes, black hair, had a mustache and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and an earring in his left ear, police said.
