A warrant has been issued for a man suspected of assaulting one person and threatening another in an attempt to get back money he said he was owed. Mark Anthony Miller, a 29-year-old man with no fixed address, is wanted on charges of criminal threats and sexual battery, police said Sunday.

Miller allegedly attacked one victim Friday around 4:30 p.m. in a business on the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue, according to police.The victim, a 41-year-old Santa Cruz resident, told police that the suspect entered the business, stated that the victim knew someone who owed him money, and threatened to stab the victim if they did not help him get his money back.

He then allegedly sexually battered and threatened to kill the victim, before leaving the store. He continued to call the victim after he left, however, making further threats of violence, police said.Santa Cruz police spoke to the victim around 7:30 p.m. and also with the person who allegedly owed the suspect money, a 57-year-old San Jose resident. That person had also received threatening phone calls from the suspect, police said.Miller was identified as the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest after an investigation.
