A 19-year-old San Francisco man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District in March, police announced today. Anthony Lacayo was arrested Tuesday at 850 Bryant St., which is the address for the Hall of Justice, at 8:55 p.m., police said. He was booked into San Francisco County jail and is facing a homicide charge for the death of 40-year-old San Francisco resident Ronald Monzon.
Monzon was shot as he was driving on Shotwell Street around 7:20 p.m. on March 9, police said. The shooting victim crashed his car into several other cars on Shotwell at 23rd streets before he was taken to the hospital with several gunshot wounds.
Monzon later died at San Francisco General Hospital, police said.
