Two separate robberies that occurred in East Oakland at around the same time on Tuesday night put two victims in the hospital, an Oakland police officer said. Both robberies were reported at around 11:30 p.m. In one robbery, which happened in the 5800 block of Foothill Boulevard, the victim suffered a serious head injury, police said.

Several miles away, in the 9700 block of B Street, a robber struck a victim multiple times and made off with $17, according to police. That victim was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition, police said. No suspects have been arrested in either case.
