A man was arrested in South San Francisco on Wednesday on suspicion child molestation, police said. Leonardo Gonzalez, a plumber from South San Francisco, was taken into custody in the 800 block of Baden Avenue, according to police.

Police said he is suspected of 108 counts of child molestation. The arrest came after a month-long investigation that suggested Gonzalez had molested a child under 10 years old, police said. Investigators were informed of the alleged abuse after the victim had a routine test conducted that showed signs of sexual abuse, police said. Gonzalez was booked into county jail in Redwood City, police said.
