Two men have been arrested in connection with the stabbings of two Fairfield men during a party in March at the Chardonnay Golf Club in Napa County. Jose Alfredo Canjura and Alexander Hernandez, both 18, of Fairfield will appear in Napa County Superior Court Monday morning for entry of pleas and setting of a preliminary hearing date. They were arrested last week in Fairfield.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, being a street gang member, battery and terrorism charges. Charges will be for filed against Canjura Monday, a Napa County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman said. Napa County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Tracey Stuart said there are arrest warrants for two other suspects.
A melee erupted during a birthday and spring break party at the Chardonnay Golf Club at 2555 Jameson Canyon Road in unincorporated Napa County near Napa on March 23. Authorities said as many as 800 people from Solano County attended the party that got out of control around 11 p.m.
