Police say they have arrested two men suspected of robbing a San Jose grocery store at knifepoint on Tuesday afternoon. A man entered a grocery store in the 1000 block of Leigh Avenue at around 2:10 p.m., brandished a knife and took merchandise, police said. The man then fled the store and got into a car driven by an accomplice.
Within minutes, police arrested Trevell Quintrell Jones, 22, and Cornelius Rome Williams, both of San Jose, about half a mile away in a residential area near the intersection of Fruitdale and Goodwin avenues, police said. Both suspects were on probation, police said. Jones and Williams were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail in San Jose, police said. No injuries were reported.
