A Sonoma man who was assaulted early Wednesday morning is in critical condition at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital this afternoon, a hospital spokesman said. The victim, Austin Ridge, 28, suffered stab wounds and a head injury in the assault. A newspaper delivery person found him on the ground in the 18000 block of Lucas Avenue in Sonoma around 4:30 a.m., Sonoma County sheriff’s Sgt. Carlos Basurto said. There was no additional information about a suspect or motive this afternoon, Basurto said.
