San Jose police used a stun gun and pepper spray to subdue a stolen vehicle suspect who resisted arrest violently on Wednesday, police said. Officers located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the 2000 block of Meadowgate Way that afternoon and kept it under surveillance. Later, a driver returned to the vehicle, and officers stopped it in the 200 block of North Fifth Street at 2:51 p.m. The driver resisted police violently, police said, and they used a Taser and pepper spray to arrest the suspect. The suspect was treated at a hospital, released and then booked into jail.
