Police in Pittsburg are trying to locate two suspects who beat a Brentwood man in a parking lot on Tuesday night, a police lieutenant said today. The assault was reported around 6 p.m. Tuesday in a lot located in the 3700 block of Railroad Avenue, Lt. Ron Raman said.

The suspects approached the 40-year-old victim and got into a verbal altercation with him that turned physical, Raman said. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for head injuries he suffered during the fight. The wounds were not considered life-threatening. Police have not located the suspects, but believe the two men know the victim, Raman said.
