Two men were arrested after one allegedly fired a gun into the air during a fight on San Francisco’s Polk Street early this morning, police said. The shooting was reported at 1:46 a.m. in the 600 block of Polk Street, where the suspects had gotten into a fight, according to police. One allegedly went to a car and grabbed a gun, shot one round into the air and then pointed the weapon at a crowd in the street, police said.
No one was hit by the gunfire. The suspects then fled in the vehicle, a white SUV, but were later located and arrested in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood, where officers also found a second firearm in the car, police said. Police have not yet released the names of the suspects but say they are ages 19 and 20.
