Deputies have arrested a Brentwood man suspected of robbing a Chase Bank in Discovery Bay last week, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives arrested Daniel John Olejnik, 23, on Tuesday, days after they believe he robbed a Chase Bank on state Highway 4 near Bixler Road on April 11, sheriff’s officials said.

In the robbery, a man entered the bank, demanded cash from a teller and made off with roughly $1,900, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies searched the area but were unable to find the suspect.  An investigation led detectives to Olejnik, who was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon, sheriff’s officials said.  He was booked into county jail in Martinez, where he is being held on $120,000 bail.
