Investigators are trying to identify the person who fired several shots at a passing car in Livermore on Sunday afternoon, police said.  Witnesses told police that four men were walking in the 1700 block of Walnut Street at about 1:45 p.m. when one of them shot at a passing Dodge Durango.

The four men then fled east on Walnut Street, and the Dodge Durango accelerated away, police said.  At least one bullet struck an unoccupied car parked nearby, police said. No other damage was reported. The shooter was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s who was wearing black, silver or dark blue clothing. The Durango was metallic blue or purple, and the driver was wearing a red bandana. Police suspect the shooter may be a Sureno gang member and that the shooting may be gang-related.
