On 4/7/12, at approximately 4:05 PM, San Jose police officers responded to the 1800 block of Sarasota Way on a report of a person stabbed. Officers located Joseph Michael Robidoux-Cadle, 22, of San Jose, suffering from blunt force trauma and multiple stab wounds. Officers provided first aid to Robidoux-Cadle; however, he was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 4:20 P.M.

The preliminary investigation by patrol officers, along with witness information, revealed a confrontation had occurred between the suspects and the victim. The suspects, who had been traveling in a white 1993 Acura Integra passenger car, exited their vehicle and chased the victim, who had been walking. The victim was attacked by the suspects and fatally injured.
Acting on the information provided by witnesses, patrol officers identified the Acura Integra.  Officers assigned to the Metro Unit located the Acura Integra on the 1500 block of June Avenue, a short distance from the crime scene.

At approximately 11:14 PM that same evening, patrol and Metro officers located and arrested Alain Calvillo, 20; Filiberto Barreto Lopez, 20; and Francisco Bartolo Chavez, 23, in the area of S. King and Story roads.  Calvillo was arrested while driving the Acura Integra; Lopez and Chavez were arrested while in a white 2004 Ford Mustang passenger vehicle.
The investigation revealed the homicide was gang-motivated. The suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail in San Jose. Calvillo was booked on suspicion of being an accessory to the homicide; Lopez and Chavez were booked on suspicion of homicide.

This marks the 7th homicide of 2012 (3rd gang-related homicide of 2012).
