* Geovanni Oseguera a Seaside man allegedly attacked a woman he had met on Facebook

A Seaside man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attacking a woman he had met on Facebook after she agreed to meet with him in a Salinas park, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Geovanni Oseguera, 19, allegedly first contacted the victim, identified only as Jane Doe, on Facebook, and told her he could be her personal trainer, according to the sheriff’s office.

When they met at a park in South Salinas during daylight hours, Oseguera allegedly committed sexual battery on the woman.The woman contacted the sheriff’s office, and investigators located Oseguera in Central Park at 420 Central Ave. in Salinas on Wednesday at 4 p.m. He was arrested and booked into Monterey County Jail for sexual battery, according to sheriff’s officials.
