Investigators are trying to identify a man who forced himself into a woman’s San Ramon home and sexually assaulted her on Tuesday, police said. At 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, the woman reported that a man had rung the doorbell of her home on Montrose Way earlier that morning.
After looking through the peephole, she opened the door and briefly spoke with the man, police said.When she tried to close the door, the suspect wedged his foot in the doorway and entered the home, according to police.Police said the suspect then forced the victim onto the floor and sexually assaulted her. The man then fled, possibly in a small blue or silver SUV, and has not been located, police said.
He is described as a Middle Eastern man in his 40s standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a heavy build and with very straight black hair. He is clean-shaven and has brown eyes.Police said he was wearing a navy-blue cotton jacket and brown leather shoes.
