* Purse Snatch in Walnut Creek, Suspects Being Sought

Walnut Creek police are looking for two suspects who stole a woman’s purse Friday night and then fled in a waiting vehicle.  The victim was walking with another woman Friday around 8:30 p.m. on Creekside Drive near South Main Street when she was approached by two men, according to police. One of the men grabbed the victim’s purse.

She screamed and tried to hang  on to it, but he overpowered her and was able to steal it. The two men then drove away in a vehicle, possibly a late model sedan, waiting nearby.   No weapon was displayed and no one was injured in the incident.

The suspect who grabbed the purse was described as a Hispanic adult male, approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 180 pounds, with dark hair and eyes and a goatee. He was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket and dark shorts. The other man was described as a Hispanic male, around 5 feet 5 inches, 150 pounds, and wearing dark clothing.
