An Oakland man was sentenced to 300 months in prison on Friday after he was convicted of producing and possessing child pornography, according to prosecutors. Edward Lee Sullivan, 39, was convicted of one count of producing and possessing child pornography on Feb. 25, 2011 after a 13-day trial before U.S. District Court Judge D. Lowell Jensen.

Prosecutors charged that Sullivan had trained a 14-year-old girl to work for him as a child prostitute in March 2008. Sullivan took photographs and video of the girl, including at least one video where she performed oral sex on him, U.S. attorneys said. He was previously on parole for a 2002 conviction for pimping and sexual conduct with a 14-year-old girl, prosecutors said.

Following the completion of his prison term, Sullivan was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release.
