A driver in San Mateo flashed a gun at another driver during a road rage incident in the city early Sunday morning, a police spokesman said. Two vehicles were traveling in the same direction on state Highway 92 when one of the vehicles flashed its headlights at the other to get the driver to turn his high beams off, San Mateo police Sgt. Dave Norris said.

Both vehicles exited the highway and the suspect stopped suddenly in front of the victim in the 2200 block of Alameda de Las Pulgas, police said. The suspect exited his vehicle, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim while yelling at him, police said. The suspect then drove away in his car, a black Mercedes four-door sedan with a possible partial license No. 6CF. Officers responded to the scene at about 12:10 a.m.  The suspect driver was described as a black man in his 40s, around 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds.
