Police have ended a lengthy standoff today with a home invasion robbery and carjacking suspect who was believed to be hiding in a vacant San Jose home, a police spokesman said. Police have determined that the suspect is not inside the home in the 5600 block of Blossom Avenue after conducting a search of the residence, Officer Jose Garcia said.

The suspect, who has allegedly committed multiple robberies, was believed to be inside the residence earlier this morning after officers spotted the wanted felon at 3:55 a.m. The police department’s SWAT team was dispatched to the scene and multiple streets in the residential neighborhood were closed as officers tried to coax the suspect from the home.  No further information was immediately available.
