A Pizza Hut in Redwood City was robbed Tuesday night by a man who claimed he was armed, a police sergeant said. The suspect entered the pizza restaurant at 590 Whipple Ave. at about 10:05 p.m., Redwood City police Sgt. Sean Hart said. He handed a note to one of the employees demanding money and claiming that he had a weapon, Hart said.

The suspect left the area on foot. He was described as a white man in his early 20s with a medium build, between 5 feet 3 and 5 feet 7 inches tall, Hart said. He had a moustache and beard, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a brown design on it, black pants and brown bulky gloves.
